REQUIREMENTS*:Working as a forklift operator, a candidate must:Run a forklift smoothly, quickly, and efficiently for catch crews to load chickensWork with live haul drivers to load chicken cages onto the trailer quickly and smoothlyBe on time and show up for work dailyWork well with a team Working as a truck driver candidate must:Be responsible for following all Live Haul SOP’sBe responsible for accurately pre-tripping and post-tripping all tractors and trailers and documenting inspectionsIs required to record driving activity on electronic logs and GPS and communicate with team if there is an issue using J.J. Keller ELD system.Follow all Lytx drive camera rules and follow all company procedures to avoid unsafe driving eventsBe responsible for picking up forklifts and transporting to the farm on a daily basisThe driver (with communication and help from the live haul drivers) will park the truck in a safe location for loading.Perform all preventative maintenance tasks that arise on truck, trailer, and loader.Required to follow the Fleet safety policy and all safety rules (company and DOT-related).Required to meet all DOT qualifications annually and maintain CDL license with help of Fleet Safety Coordinator. *Perform any other duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by truck shop and live haul management. WORK ENVIRONMENT:                              Dust, dirt, grime, and working with live animalsOperating loader in wet, dirty, dark chicken house environmentsHot/Cold Weather or Wet/Icy Weather (driving in all weather conditions)Working along roadside or at the farm or other uncontrolled environments QUALIFICATIONS: MUST HAVE CLASS A CDLHigh School diploma or GED desired21 years of age (DOT requirement)2 yrs.
