Job Summary

The Facility Technician is a multifaceted tradesman responsible for monitoring, operating and maintaining the facility and utility infrastructure of Juno's GMP manufacturing plant.

primary Responsibilities

Participate in establishing the site's facility and utility practices, policies, and procedures.

Monitor GMP and non-GMP building and utility systems, including air handlers, fans, chillers, boilers, water systems, compressed air/gas systems, power/lighting systems, and standby generators

Utilize the site's Building Automation/Maintenance System (BAS/BMS) to monitor building utilities

Address general maintenance requests serving office, laboratory, and manufacturing operations

Establish and adhere to all safety procedures and practices effecting building facilities and utilities

Represent facility operations on the site's safety committee

Establish and manage service providers and vendor contracts related to the repair of facility equipment and building systems

Record maintenance events and work orders using the site's asset management system

Maintain pertinent documentation and equipment files, including drawings, O&M manuals, and service records in accordance with GMP record keeping practices

Monitors and replaces light bulbs in the facility as needed

Solicits bids and quotes from vendors

Makes minor plumbing repairs, as necessary

Install white boards and shelving, as needed

Order and organize spare parts

Dismantle, install furniture and reconfigure for room function

Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility

Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

Required Qualifications

Ability to provide excellent customer service

Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel

Positive attitude & high energy

High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change

Ability to take and follow direction, work in both a team environment and independently, without supervision

Able to perform medium work -- frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling 20 -- 50 lbs, climbing (ascending or descending ladders, stairs), stooping, kneeling, crouching, etc

Adept in general building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical

Unwavering commitment to implement and follow safety protocols and work practices

Ability to respond to off-hour emergencies, including nights and weekends

Attention to detail and follow-through

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Self-motivated, pro-active, and able to work with minimal supervision

Education Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required with two to three years' experience at a GMP operations facility.
