This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be willing to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must be willing to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.  Applicants must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach.  Team Members who hold these positions must be willing to work in either cold, damp or hot, humid environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces.  Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours.  Must be willing to complete all required training for the job and be willing to participate in job rotation .

At the time the bid closes: Must have 5 points or less to be considered and must maintain 10 or less to remain in the position. Must have 3 months of industrial maintenance experience or in the Maintenance Training program and it must be documented on the Internal Discretionary Employment Application to be considered. Must have basic computer skills. Must not have a written warning within the last 3 months or a written warning with suspension in the last 6 months. Mechanical experience required, including general knowledge of production machinery maintenance and lubrication. Must pass Level 1 of the maintenance skills training program (written and hands on) within 30 days. Must pass levels 2-4 within 14 months. Failure to pass will result in change in pay and change in position or possible termination of employment. Must be capable of training in Hi-Tech machinery maintenance and operation. Previous industrial maintenance is preferred, and basic industrial electricity is preferred. Preference will be given to those currently in the maintenance department (including Maintenance Training)

Mantenimiento industrial previo preferido y electricidad industrial básica es preferido. Preferencia se dará a los que están en el departamento de Mantenimiento (incluye los en entrenamiento para Mantenimiento)
