What’s the role?
Shell Pipeline Controller and Control Center remotely controls and monitors pipeline systems and terminals, as well as comply with the applicable Department of Transportation regulations.
Work in a 24 hour/7 days a week operation that requires shift work
On a day to day basis, Pipeline Controllers are involved with the following activities
The safe and efficient remote operation of pipelines, tanks and pumping equipment involved in the transportation of crude oil and other products
Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures .Communicate verbally in writing to right-of-way technicians, employees, supervisors and others regarding the identification of problems with productivity and movement
Consistently ensure the safety of pipeline operations and preventing any environmental damage while meeting established schedules and customer needs, minimizing costs and securing product integrity
Work in a 24 hour/7 days a week operation that requires shift work
Keep log records of operational activities for optimal and thorough handover to other shifts
Safe work attitude and practical knowledge of industrial safety standards
Properly use of personal computers for meeting daily performance expectations
communicate with 3rd party maintenance technician and other team members

Requirements:
What we need from you?
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related subject In lieu of a degree and work experience prior military experience in a relevant technical or non-technical discipline will be considered or 3 Years pipeline controller experience or equivalent (preferred) or pipeline, terminal, tank farm operations
Willing to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation
Willing to support the companies drug-free work environment, harassment free work environment policy, safety policies in diversity and inclusion policies
Must be able to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a visa.
Possess a current , valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States Comply with all HSSE regulations, policies, standards, practices and actively participate in improving plant safety culture
Tend to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation assistance
Must be flexible to work overtime, nights and weekends when the need arises. Must be at least 18 years old, with a minimum High school diploma or GED.
Able to read, write and speak English.
Prior Military experience in a relevant process operations job function
