Job Details:
This position is responsible for loading feed trucks and helping maintain feed mill operations on a daily basis while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks: This position will be responsible for multiple tasks including, but not limited to, the proper loading of feed trucks following Packers and Stockyards Procedures according to the daily feed orders prioritized as such: OUTS, SERVICE ORDERS, FOD AND PLACEMENT ORDERS. This position may also be responsible for the proper documentation and preparation of feed tickets, answering phone calls from Growers, taking feed orders from Service Techs, and the recording of such information for record keeping as needed. This position is also responsible for keeping their work area clean which also includes, but is not limited to, the loading area (scales).
Stand and walk on concrete floors. Lift more than 50 pounds. Use 8 lb. to 12 lb. sledge hammer. Climb ladders and stairs. Perform Blend Order and Delivery. Work in elevated areas. Be transported in man-lift. Clean and shovel out pits and scale area. Sweep floors. Assist in repair of equipment. Inform supervisor of needed repairs to equipment. Follow Company and Feed Mill Safety Rules. Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements: Must have basic computer and mechanical skills. Able to read and write for documentation. Must have valid Alabama Driver License with a good driving record. Work flexible hours, 5 to 6 days per week and 10 to 12 hour shifts. Rotate jobs. Work in extreme hot and cold temperatures and in a non-toxic, dusty environment. Feed Mill experience is preferred, not required.
