Job Details:

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repairs, and landscaping tasks, while maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This team member will provide service to the facility in regard to general upkeep of its’ grounds and buildings. The pay for this position is $15.40/hr.

Summary:

COMPLETED LOCKOUT/TAGOUT TRAINING REQUIRED before training begins.

Perform certain lubrication functions, doors, door closers, and lawn equipment.

Clean up area after tasks are complete such as painting, bushes and trees.

Assist with Safety Department, check eye wash stations, ladder etc.

Perform daily temperature in restroom and production sinks.

Perform daily lighting checks and replace light bulbs as needed.

Perform repair of sinks, urinals, and other bathroom fixtures.

Perform painting, caulking, and patching as assigned.

Perform tasks such as picking up trash in the parking lots and grounds.

Perform duties such as pulling weeds and raking leaves in the flower beds.

Perform duties such as spreading salt and shoveling snow on sidewalks as well as running snow blower.

Follow lockout / tagout procedures.

Comply with OSHA standards.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Perform all work in a safe manner.

Abide by all company policies and procedures; written or verbal.

Work as a team toward task accomplishments.

Perform any other tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required for the Position:

Must be able to work flexible hours.

Must be able to read information related to the job including (but not limited to) work assignments, equipment specifications, and repair related information.

Must be able to write required information in work logs.

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis.

Must be able to work competently and efficiently with minimum supervision.

Must be able to troubleshoot equipment. For example, restroom fixtures.

Must be able to work in harsh environments for short periods of time. For example, heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, water, mud, etc.
