Profile

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Maintenance Mechanic – Full Time – N. Richland Hills, TX 76180

This position pays from $20.54- $25.67/hr. with a shift increase for second/third shift and potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have open positions for second and third shift (6PM- 6:30AM).

This facility operates seven days a week and produces Pepperoni and other Pizza. toppings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoots pneumatic control systems and pneumatically activated systems; replaces, rebuilds, repairs pneumatic lift cylinders; replaces airline hoses, hoses, fittings, gauges; troubleshoots, repairs replaces and/or rebuilds hydraulic motors, filters, pumps, valves, hoses, and hydraulic lift cylinders; troubleshoots high pressure systems while unit is in operation or down for major repairs; installs heater connections, hydraulic oil coolers, temperature and oil pressure senders; identifies basic problems in electrical control circuitry and repairs or refers to electrician; responsible for keeping work area clean; may perform other various duties on a routine or non-routine basis at the discretion of his/her supervisor or other members of management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical; ability to read elementary wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics; experience in maintenance equivalent to apprenticeship program; High School diploma or equivalent; ability to use shop mathematics with trade knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic operations and repair; sufficient communication skill to maintain good working relationships; sufficient physical capabilities to vertically move objects weighing up to 100 lbs. from 1 to 55 occasionally, up to 60 lbs. from 1 to 65 frequently, horizontally move same from 10' to 75' without mechanical assistance, exert upper extremity forces of up to 60 lbs. frequently, exert grip forces of 40 lbs. frequently, climb steps at a rate of 50/hr., stand during entire shift, walk up to 4 miles during an 8 hour period, tolerate spaces of 24 by 24, sufficient near, far and color vision to perform operations, tolerate heights up to 50', tolerate extremes of temperatures, both heat and cold.
