POSITION: CLIMBING ARBORIST TRAINEE — DAVEY RESIDENTIAL

Davey Residential, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as a Climbing Arborist Trainee.

 

DUTIES

*Provides tree trimming services *Utilize ropes for work positioning at heights up to 60 feet, while pruning or removing trees *Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects *Learn tree identification and ANSI A300 Pruning guidelines *Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts *Operates as part of a tree crew with supporting Groundman and Crew Foreman while progressively learning new skills *Make satisfactory progress in Davey's Career Development Program 

QUALIFICATIONS

*1+ years experience working in the tree care industry preferred *High school diploma or equivalent preferred *Driver's license required. Commercial driver's license preferred and may be required, depending on job requirements *Completion of Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire *Certificates and Licenses if necessary *Pesticide license, if required by state law *Willingness to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
