This is a 1st shift position with a dynamic schedule that can require work and or training on other shifts. Normal hours will be 5 days a week, 8.5 hours/day. Normal hours are 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The base rate of pay is $32.60/hour and is eligible for step increases at 3 months ($34.52), 6 months ($36.43), and 12 months ($38.35). This position is also eligible for overtime pay. If a current TM is selected for the position, he/she will receive the next highest rate of pay from his/her current pay rate.
Job Responsibilities:
This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. The position will perform high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair, assist engineering and plant staff with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems, and provide technical support for all phases of the operation.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Training beyond High School including either an Associate’s Degree (AS) in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience that can include skilled trades programs or military training
Certifications in any technical field or techniques is a plus
At least four (4) years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience
Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry
Must have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques
Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
Must possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations personnel
Good math ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Accountable to self and others
Ability to read, understand, and interpret product specifications
Must function well under stress
Must have flexibility to work where and when needed, including weekends and overtime as needed
Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations
Ability to climb up and down stairs to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels
Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm ( 80-90°F) to cold (20-40°F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach above, reach across, reach below, and perform repetitive motions
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, and boots
