This position starts at $21.87/hr. (top level pay $31.24/hr.), with a shift increase ($1.00) for third shift. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We currently have open position for third shift.

This facility operates five days a week (maintenance includes rotating weekends) and produces Bosco Sticks and Pizza.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Maintenance Generalist will perform duties such as welding, cutting, electrical repair and troubleshooting, removing, replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water pipes, valves, lines, & systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have at least six (6) months work experience within the last 12 months to be considered for this position (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).

Must have applied mechanical ability documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.

Must be able to read & understand assignments

Must be able to communicate orally & in writing

Basic knowledge of math, able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment. May be required to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems.

Preferred: Vocational or College Education in Industrial Maintenance.
