SUMMARY

Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified HVAC Technician for GSA 50 UNP O&M contract in San Francisco, CA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform needed preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacement of HVAC located in 50 UNP Building . Equipment to include but not limited to:

DX systems

water source heat pumps

roof top units

mini splits

gas space heaters

chillers

cooling towers

AHU

pumps

boilers

DDC controls

CRAC units

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Must be able to pass an extensive back ground check

Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation

Should own the hand tools needed to perform maintenance and repairs on the equipment

High school education or equivalent 

Must be able to pass drug screening and background check

CFC certification ( )

Siemens DDC knowledge ( )

HVAC trade school certificate ( )

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Knowledge of basic HVAC systems

Good mechanical skills

Ability to lift and carry weights up to 75 lbs.’

Ability to work with little supervision

Preferred

HVAC journeyman’s license

5 years’ experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. Carry and climb ladders. Lift and carry 75lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed mostly inside building mechanical rooms, overhead space, closets, and basement. Some roof top work. Must be able to work off of ladders.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to the GSA facility. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to the government installation.
