Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.REQUIREMENTS:Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industryrequired or other QA type experience.Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; abilityto lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problemidentification and problem solving skills; math and organizationalskills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; mustfunction well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and whenneeded.Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. ormore).Supervisory: NoneTravel: None

Functions

Ÿ To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture

Ÿ Perform various positions as required/assigned

Description

This position will be responsible for sampling and testing products as required to ensure quality.

Tasks

Oversee loading of fat loads. Twice weekly plant picture audits. Collect and review all FSQ paperwork. APPI collection. Press samples for press test. Oversee all preservative application and changing of totes. Research out of spec loads. May be required to perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Must have the ability to work independently thoroughly and in a timely manner while maintain a positive attitude. Must be able to work well with others. Must be able to take direction on different projects and be self-motivated to accomplish the task. This position requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs up to 50 feet. Must be able to read and complete required paperwork and reports. Hear and respond to 2-way radio. Requires basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. SAP and LIMS knowledge and experience preferred.

Requirements
