Maintenance Generalist Lead

Job Details:

Maintenance Lead positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Position requires knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics and other maintenance related areas. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders, fill out the daily documentation required, perform preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by Supervisor as well as confirm time into the SAP system to record daily activities and create equipment history. Must be able to read and write where required, must be able to communicate with management and co-workers as needed, must be able to process paperwork necessary to position, m ust be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Other duties include parts inventory, ensuring vendors and/or contractors are following all Tyson policies including safety when on-property and ensuring other maintenance techs daily pm's and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. Experience operating PIT preferred or willing to learn to operate PIT. Electrical experience preferred. Must be willing to take and pass forklift operation certification and aerial lift certification.

The position involves working above shoulder level and individually lifting up to seventy (70) pounds on a daily basis. Must be able to work in various positions and walk and stand on hard surfaces for a period of up to twelve (12) hours. Work is performed both outdoors and indoors in a mixed environment; from extreme cold/hot; wet/dry with temperatures ranging from 0 to 115 degrees. To be qualified for maintenance, candidates must be willing and able to complete all required skilled trades training necessary within the required time period. Applicants must be able and willing to follow all operational procedures and safety rules. Schedules are not Monday thru Friday, may vary and may require overtime and holidays.

Preference will be given to applicants who have completed formal industrial technical training from an accredited skilled trades program such as industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or advanced manufacturing

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. If none of those Team Members are selected, then other candidates will be given consideration.
