Job Details:
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Summary: This position is responsible for changing batteries, performing Preventive maintenance, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Responsibilities: Must be able to follow instructions both written and orally. General technicians will be responsible for Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to the facility asset’s and any other duties as assigned. This person will perform inspections on the equipment and perform mandatory checks on the roof and within the plant regularly and utilize the CMMS program to document findings including reporting any issues to the supervisor. Develop a thorough knowledge of facility layout, tools, parts and equipment. Maintain and monitor all of the facility equipment within safety standards. This person should have good Computer, math, reading and writing skills to properly monitor equipment, check, and record data. This position will be working inside and outside of facility as directed. There will be exposure to weather elements outside, wet floors, humid, noisy, and cramped working quarters at times.
Special Skills: Must be able to work in hot outside temperatures or – 20 degrees of ambient temperatures as well as up to -10 degrees inside the freezer. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience: You must have three months of work history within the last six months to be considered for these positions. If the applicant provides proof of enrollment in maintenance related classes OR proof that they graduated within the last six months, the requirement for 3 of the last 6 months of work history will be waived.
Preferred Education: Have one year of maintenance related experience or 1 year of class room training form a technical college (proof of training is required with a passing grade) OR must have graduated from a technical college.
