Job Description:

Full-time, year-round position responsible for repair and maintenance of College facilities and grounds. Typical work schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Repairs and maintains buildings and equipment as directed.

Performs routine electrical maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and resetting breakers.

Installs, maintains, repairs, and wires light machinery, time clocks, electric heaters, air conditioners, and air compressors.

Operates, maintains, and repairs heavy equipment and power tools as directed.

Installs, inspects, repairs and maintains air conditioning refrigerant equipment, including soldering lines.

Performs routine air conditioning maintenance, such as changing filters, belts, and cleaning units.

Moves furniture, equipment, and materials as directed.

Assists with grounds maintenance as directed.

Assists with College special events (including load-in and load-out of shows, set-up, clean-up, traffic control in parking lots, etc.) as needed.

Records personal work time and quantities of materials used on specific jobs as directed.

Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts.

Acts in accordance with College policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Educational:

High school diploma or equivalency preferred. HVAC certificate preferred.

Experiential:

General maintenance experience required.

Other:

Position involves moderately heavy manual work, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and supplies.
