River Rouge Terminal bring in and ship out finished goods. You will off load rails cars and load bulk trucks.

What’s the role?

Handle and manage the loading process of trucks and rails ensuring delivery of the proper products and volume ordered

Prepare the proper hose connections to facilitate receipt of raw materials from bulk trucks and rail cars

Verify that the receiving vessel can accommodate the volume of raw materials or finished products being transferred

Acquire samples of bulk packaged raw materials and finished products and required

Perform computer related tasks as necessary to ensure that a quality product is delivered to the customer on time and in the quantity ordered along will all necessary paperwork

Supports the day-to-day operation of the bulk terminal distribution terminal business as a focal point for customers.

Safely perform all duties related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products

Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures. Communicate verbally in writing to employees, supervisor, and others regarding the identification of problems with productivity

Receive and unload (via rail and load via bulk truck) petroleum products in a safe manner and in accordance with all State and Federal laws and regulations, and accordance with all company policies and procedures

Perform preventative maintenance and assist in troubleshooting of potential issues. Keep equipment clean. Routine repair/replacement of terminal equipment, terminal inspections, greasing valves, pumps, and loading rack equipment, and building maintenance

Contribute to keeping process materials records and maintain good housekeeping practices

Terminal Operators are required to work safely and independently with minimum supervision

Understand and perform physical inventories. Ability to move up to 60lbs and to physically moved filled drums

Generate daily accounting reports, record keeping, and making computer related entries

Requirements:

What we need from you?

Preferred 1 year of work experience with lubricants, refinery or terminal operator experience

Willing to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation

Willing to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation

Willing to support the companies drug-free work environment, harassment free work environment policy, safety policies in diversity and inclusion policies. Climb ladders, walk up and down steps, and work at heights with or without accommodation

Must be able to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a visa.

Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States, Able to obtain a Forklift Operator Certification within 90 days of employment

Willing to work a rotating shift work schedule Willing to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends

Comply with all HSSE regulations, policies, standards, practices and actively participate in improving plant safety culture

Tend to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation assistance

Must be flexible to work overtime, nights and weekends when the need arises. Must be at least 18 years old, with a minimum High school diploma or GED.

As a part of the pre-employment selection process, candidates are required to submit to and receive satisfactory results from all pre-employment background, drug, medical, and reference checks, including hair drug testing.

Able to read, write and speak English.

Prior Military experience in a relevant process operations job function Preferred
