Job Details:

This position is responsible for removing condemned product while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Job Purpose: : The primary goal is to ensure cleanliness throughout the dock area, this is the person authorized to pick-up trash.

Essential Job Functions:

Pick up trash from the dock

Sitting Pallets in when needed

Keeping trash area and drains under dock doors clean

Work to keep trash compacted and cardboard baled so it doesn’t build up

Spraying off stacks of dirty pallets to be reused

Having Chep pallets, RM2, and Plastic pallets staged to be put in the plant when needed.

Putting Plastic/RM2 pallets and slats cleaned by pallet washer on refrigerated trailer

Helping Receiving guys with daily tasks if needed

Must be able to do other duties as assigned (5% of the time)

Physical Demands:

Must be able to reach above the shoulder and head frequently throughout the shift as needed.

Must be able to do repetitive motions with the hands to perform the job tasks daily.

Must be able to stand and walk approximately 8.5 hours a day.

Environmental Factors

Must be able to work in a cold environment

Must be able to work in other environmental conditions such as: humid, wet, dry, and slippery.

Must be able to work in the area with the noise level of 85db

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform all essential functions and related tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, with limited supervision
