Job Details:

SUMMARY: This is a part-time position that is responsible for monitoring daily traffic entering leaving the Tyson Fresh Meats Inc. facility answering phones and communication with Material Handling on status of loads. These positions are also responsible for monitoring what is being brought into and out of the facility and enforcing Tyson policy if needed. This position is also in constant communication with truck drivers’, vendors, customers of Tyson Fresh , and Team Members. Other job assignment duties may be assigned by supervisor. The Security department runs 3 shifts and shift assignment will be determined upon job offer.

All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. This position is responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.REQUIREMENTS: Resume must be submitted with application to be considered.

Education: High School diploma or its equivalency.

Experience: Investigative skills helpful but not mandatory, necessary training provided for successful applicants.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are desirable, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.Position Specific Requirements: Must be able to work in both hot cold temperatures, be able to work both independently and under supervision as well as having a positive work ethic attitude.

Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Reports to: Senior Security Officer

Candidates who are currently working for Tyson Foods Louisa County will be considered for this position first.

If none of those Team Members are selected, then Team members from other Tyson locations will be given consideration, and then external candidates if posted externally.

The Candidate selected for this position must be able to work extended hours as required per management.
