Profile

General Maintenance is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Position requires knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics and other maintenance related areas.

Must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders, fill out the daily documentation required, perform preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by Supervisor as well as confirm time into the SAP system to record daily activities and create equipment history. M ust be able to communicate with management and co-workers as needed. Must be able to process paperwork necessary to position. M ust be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to lift, push, pull up to 95 lbs, climb stairs and ladders on a daily basis. Must be willing to work in cold environments with temperatures ranging from -10 to 55 degrees in the production area to an environment that is tied to what the weather outste floors and noise levels that are loud enough to require hearing protection. Must bide is (rain, heat, cold, insects), wet conditions, slippery floors in some areas, concree willing to work on your feet for a period of 8 to 12 hours . Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. Experience operating PIT preferred or willing to learn to operate PIT. Electrical experience preferred. Must be willing to take and pass various PIT certification. One (1) year of industrial maintenance or electrical experience preferred.
