Days Full Time - 10 hour shifts This role is an experienced technician in CS/Sterile Processing and has a variety of responsibilities which include: ensuring availability of implants and other surgical tools and equipment, the proper and effective sterilization of tools and instruments for the Hospital OR and satellite clinics, and proper sterilization and care of sensitive equipment and tools such as endoscopes. The incumbent(s) in this position are expected to be fully proficient within multiple areas within the Central Processing/Sterile Processing group and is expected to be able to rotate between the different functions within the department in which they are proficient as well as provide coverage as needed. This position also serves as a liaison between the Central Services/Sterile Processing group and the Hospital OR as well as the various VM satellite clinics, and ensures that equipment, tools, and implants are thoroughly prepared for surgical procedures. This position coordinates shipments of dirty/soiled instruments and sterile instruments between the Hospital OR and Satellite clinics and ensures timely delivery prior to scheduled surgical procedures. Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in Central Processing or Sterile Processing required. CRCST certification required. Promotion to CS/SPD tech II will be based on business needs and will be decided upon by the SPD leadership team.
