JOB SUMMARY
CBRE
– A global leader in
facility management seeks to add an Audio
Visual Technician
to its winning team in Beaverton, Oregon. This is a
client-facing role with a leading-edge apparel company that requires a
high-level of technical aptitude matched with an equal level of customer
service as the candidate will be in direct contact with executives from around
the world.
Live technical event experience is an essential
component to this position as you will set, operate, and restore audio and
video components. Candidates must have an ability to self-manage, work well
with other a/v technicians, and adapt to last-minute changes without issue.
Ideal candidates will be experienced, well-rounded live-event “generalist” a/v
technicians that have an above average to excellent proficiency in audio and/or
video.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Flexible work schedule. Work week runs
Sunday through Saturday. Technicians are scheduled event-to-event so the
schedule requires flexibility; some events may run longer than scheduled, some
events may be cancelled on short notice.
Operate analog and
digital audio boards (Allen Heath), mix wireless mics, communication systems,
run audio cues, and possess a minimal skill level of an A2.
Operate video
presentation systems, including laptops (Mac), video switchers, signal
routing/patching to projectors and confidence monitors.
Effectively collaborate
with clients, fellow a/v technicians, and producers to fulfill event goals
including set-up, rehearsal, show, and restore.
Work safely and have
skill and comfort in driving/operating a scissors lift in a safe and proper
manner that aligns with venue protocol as well as a basic understanding and
adherence to OSHA, safety regulations and industry standards.
Constant communication
with supervisors, co-workers, vendors and occasionally clients.
Performs other duties as assigned.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of 1 - 2 years of audio visual experience. Skill/comfort/experience working with high-touch clients daily. Willingness to work in a closed control booth for extended periods. Ability to work well under very tight deadlines with swift response time. Ability to stay focused under shifting priorities. Arrive to shifts punctually in show attire, well-groomed and presentable.
PREFERRED JOB /SKILL ABILITIES
3-5 Years A/V Technician experience working in a corporate environment preferred.
Video Conference experience.
Audio/Video editing.
Experience with presentation software such as Keynote and PowerPoint.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Basic knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products). Familiar with a variety of file types such as TIFF, JPEG, PDF, MS Word and Excel. Ability to work handheld mobile technologies and applications. Ability to work in multiple software platforms and learn and retain technical software applications quickly. Good organizational skills. Must work well under pressure with multiple deadlines, and demonstrate a proactive approach to routine and non-routine occurrences. Ability to work flexible work schedules based on business need.
May need to be physically able to lift and move 30-40 boxes and operate a two-wheel dolly. Physical ability to assist with document services operations. Able to lift 50 lbs.
Strong problem-solving skills. Highly adaptable and flexible.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
