Job Details:

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

These General Mechanic positions could work any department in Processing or Harvest of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas and must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders. Lifting is required, 70 pounds or more. These positions work in cold, damp or hot and humid environments. Must be mechanically inclined. Welding experience preferred.

Requirements

Must have at least one-year ammonia refrigeration and boiler room experience. Must be available to work B shift, normal scheduled hours 4pm to 12:30am. Refrigeration maintenance crews work 6 days, with 2 rotating days off, and will include shifts on Sundays and some major holidays. All jobs offers’ are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment.
