Job Description:

The Criterion Plant in Michigan City produces materials used in refineries around the world for the production of fuels. We are currently seeking two Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians to help us keep our plant well maintained in order to meet market demands.

*Starting rate of pay is *$32.83 per hour *

Requirements:

A safe work attitude and practical knowledge of industrial safety standards

A minimum of three years of electrical repair/instrumentation troubleshooting experience in an industrial plant environment, Military environment

Demonstrated proficiency in the areas of electrical wiring along with diagram reading

Experience working with flow control and flow measurement instrumentation is preferred

Experience working on and troubleshooting pneumatic control devices, burner management systems, and computerized control (PLC/DCS) systems

Working knowledge of HVAC & troubleshooting is a plus

Ability to process paperwork accurately and efficiently

Competent with general computer operations

Communicate effectively verbally and written (including email)

Ability to learn, troubleshoot and teach electrical and control systems for complex process equipment

Requirements:

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visa

Must be at least 18 years old

Must be able to speak, read and write English

Must have a minimum of three (3) years current Electrical (additional Instrumentation experience is a plus) experience in an industrial environment/ Military OR have completed (documented) training and/or certification in a plant Electrical role AND have a HS diploma or GED

Willing to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation

Willing to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation

Willing to climb ladders, walk up and down steps, and work at heights with or without accommodation

Willing to respond to emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team with or without accommodation

To attend to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site, or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation assistance

Willing to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends

Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies including one mandatory on-call assignment a month

Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States

Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Note, information regarding TWIC qualification standards may be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
