Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for operation and maintenance of the ammonia refrigeration system HCFC systems hot water air compressors waste treatment operations and their safe and efficient operations. Must be able to understand and work within the rules and standards of OSHA Process Safety Management PSM and EPA Risk Management Program RMP . Must be able to work within a total team environment and be able to effectively deal with team members members of the management team operations personnel as well as contractors. Must have a foundational knowledge in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical electrical refrigeration and other systems under the areas of assigned responsibilities. Be willing to participate in training and skill development in all areas of responsibility and be self motivated. Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Formal training from an Air-conditioning Refrigeration Technical School is a plus. RETA and IIAR Ammonia Refrigeration training is preferred. Experience: 3 plus years Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration and equipment room experience in a food plant preferred; experience in the Air Conditioning Refrigeration industry a plus; industrial maintenance experience a plus. Team member must have working knowledge of electrical testing equipment and basic hand and power tools. Extensive knowledge of Industrial Safety procedures is preferred. RETA I Certification and Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification preferred. Must be able to read and understand Equipment and System P ID s. Must be able to pass a HAZ-Mat physical and pass the training to be certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level and participate on the Emergency Response Team. Computer Skills: Must have a working knowledge of Windows based software such as Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to learn and apply Tyson SAP- PM Plant Maintenance system. Communication Skills: Must be able speak read and write fluently in English; and possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills critical thinking and problem solving skills; and interact professionally with all levels of the organization. Travel: Approximately one to two weeks travel per year possible for training. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Special Skills: Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance including hydraulics pneumatics PLC s Motor Controls and shop equipment operation desired. Experience with Air Conditioning Refrigeration systems operation and maintenance a plus.
