QX Machine Operator – Full Time- New London, WI 54961

This position starts at $14.00 per hr. with a shift increase for third shift and potential for overtime. At one (1) year the base rate will be $21.30 with yearly increases. We have an open position for a QX Machine Operator on 3rd shift.

Position Description:

This position includes but not limited to set up, tear down, and operating the packaging machines in the QX Department.

Responsibilities:

Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.

Set up, tear down, and operate the packaging machines.

Must ensure that the correct film, date, lot codes are used for the product that is being run.

Will be responsible for metal detector checks.

Will be responsible for the product flow from extruder to pack machines.

Keep the area clean of floor meat and empty packages.

Check, open, and repackage leakers per department procedure.

Learn and practice safe operating procedures.

Cleaning and sanitizing the packaging machine

Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.

Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.

Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.

Requirements:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Ability to perform basic math functions.

Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.

Occasional flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently (5 flexion/minute).

Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds frequently. (5 reps/minute)

Must be able to lift/lower/carry up to 20 pounds or greater with back and legs. (over 5 repetitions/minute)

Must be able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 10 hrs.

Must be able to obtain a tow motor certification as required for the position.

Occasional climbing of stairs several times per hour when required.

Ability to work in wet and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.

Able to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position.
