Maintenance Mechanic – Full Time – South Hutchinson, KS 67505
This position starts at $19.43/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We currently have open positions for third shift.
We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for all new hires. We have open positions for third shift.

Job Requirements:
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Must have general computer knowledge/skillsKnowledge and ability to work with 480 volt 3 phase electricityExperience with pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical automated process control system, PLC operations, inverters, and basic electricityMust possess mechanical skillsMust perform pm task on equipment daily and weeklyMust perform trouble shooting activities dailyMust be proactive in reducing downtime on all electronic equipmentAbility to weld using appropriate tools accordinglyMust be willing to travel for advanced training classesMust have good trouble shooting skillsMust be dependable and responsibleMust be Safety Oriented(learning and following Core Safety mandateMust be willing to stoop, bend, climb ladders and work overhead, twist, and squat, climb stairs reach, push, pull and move about the facility Must be flexible to work in cold and or hot temperaturesMust be cooperative and follow instruction carefully
Experience:
Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics is required to perform repairs and maintenance on processing production lines and auxiliary equipment.
Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to read electrical schematics
The temperature of the work area could range between 28 and 100 plus degrees. Team members are encouraged to dress appropriately before they arrive at their work area
Must be able to read explicit simple instructions and do required paperwork
Ability to move from one area of production to another
Perform a wide range of mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on production and plant equipment.
Perform fabrication and welding job duties as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
Must have a minimum of (3) years of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 3 years)
6 months continuous employment in the past 12 months
Must have PSM Experience
