Machine Operator Bagger Operator

Note: Applicant must have machine operator experience to be considered for this position. Starting pay is $17.00/HR.

Tasks

This position is responsible for monitoring and operation of the bagger, Ishida scale, conveyors, tape machine, printers, and metal detector. This position is responsible for Setup/teardown and shutdown of the equipment. The Bagger Operator monitors the quality of the bag seals makes adjustments to the bagger as needed, monitor the film feed and film roll reserve, replacing the film rolls. Maintain the coder/printer for products that receive a date code, bag weights and piece count. Must be able to utilize Plant View to perform hourly piece count and bag seal checks, as well as daily incline conveyer checks Make sure guarding is in place and the line is safe to work around. Follow Good House Keeping practices to keep work area clean and sanitary.

Requirements

Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping and lifting. Must be able to record data in the plant view system with the use of a computer tablet. Basic computer skills and reading comprehension is essential for the proper performance of this job. The Bagger Operator is also responsible for all other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor
