Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. (www.epsilonsystems.com), providing full lifecycle support to the Defense Industry, is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor for work in Norfolk, VA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan the use of equipment, facilities and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis.

Establish priorities and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods and policies set by higher-level management.

Coordinate work operations with related work functions.

Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects.

Redirect individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work or equipment failure.

Observe work in progress, investigates work related problems and determines causes.

Implement corrective actions to resolve work problems.

Establish or revise standard operating procedures for the work operation.

Determine training needs of contract employees and arranges for its accomplishment.

Counsel employees on performance, set performance standards and make formal appraisals of subordinates' work performance.

Promote a positive work environment and the participation of employees in such programs as the suggestion program. Maintain production reports and records.

Responsible for utilizing a thorough knowledge of and compliance with all OSHA safety rules and regulations to ensure that work progresses in a safe manner and to initiate or take corrective action on unsafe conditions in managed areas.

Provide or receive training, either on the job or through classroom training to ensure that all direct reports know how to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Act as the Responsible Contact Person (RCP) during emergencies to ensure proper communication and coordination between responding parties.

Ensure daily communications are completed with management and other supervisors.

Provide building maintenance and services support, including planning and executing infrastructure scheduled services, and advising on all activities, including maintenance, repair, property accountability of government furnished equipment (GFE), environmental control, fire prevention, plumbing, key & lock maintenance & services, and energy conservation.

Act as the primary liaison between contract employees and the Government.

Act as the on-site supervisor to all contractor employees and coordinate all building maintenance and services support.

Conduct daily communication with the Government to confirm/adjust project priorities change and as command requirements dictate.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance field.

Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role.

Must have an active Secret security clearance.

Possess a thorough knowledge of all OSHA safety rules and regulations

Proficient in use of AutoCAD

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels.

Strong customer focus and effective inter-personal skills

Strong organizational and time management skills, prioritization, and follow through.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud noise.
