JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a PT alterations specialist to join our team to bring an on-site tailoring experience to life in our store. You'll help us welcome everyone to the Madewell community and create genuine connections. As the alteration's specialist, you will offer a best-in-class denim fitting experience for our customers and be a master at alteration services (hemming, tapering, patch & repair, waist pull-ins). You'll collaborate with team members and managers to drive the business, educate the team on tailoring services, and bring a collaborative, kind, and inclusive energy to the team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

*Drive sales by exceeding tailoring service expectations. *Execute customer alteration requests and deliver top-notch results

*Ability to meet and/or exceed delivery

*Operate a sewing machine on-site to tailor denim (hemming, tapering, waist-pull ins, patch & repair) *Complete training, use product knowledge tools, be an expert on our denim. *Maintaining a safe and organized working environment *Share feedback, insights, and ideas with the management team. *Act in a manner that aligns with our values.

(ABOUT YOU) YOU'LL BE GREAT IN THE ROLE IF YOU …

*Have at least 1-2 years sewing/tailoring with a specialty in denim *Have a passion for guiding customers through the process of tailoring and providing expert advice *Can work quickly and efficiently to get the job done in a timely manner *Make customers feel at ease with your denim industry knowledge and advice *Are an expert in safely operating a sewing machine on-site to tailor denim (hemming, tapering, waist-pull ins, patch & repair) and understand more technical alterations *Make the best first impression—smile, welcome and connect with customers authentically. *Love the brand and have a great fashion aesthetic.  *Do what it takes to create seamless, amazing experiences customers can't stop talking about. *Bring your best to everything you do and achieve your goals. *Are flexible, and ready to have fun along the way. *Build productive relationships with everyone on the team and always respect each other.
