Job Details:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

The essential functions of this job include but are not limited to:

Operation of the feather conveyor belts

Dump / load the cookers of feathers using an off/on switch to the conveyors.

Record the time the cookers start and the time they are dumped

Must keep accurate records of time, speed, and temperatures of cookers at hourly intervals

Watch, maintain and make adjustments if needed to equipment; maintain a quality product; provide product sampling to assure quality product and inform supervisors of any mechanical breakdown.

Requirements:

Basic maintenance and mechanical skills, ability to shovel, and the ability to read and write are required. Expect good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and a willingness to participate in team efforts. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, withstand heat, cold and offensive odors. Must be able to lift more than 25 pounds, have the ability to climb stairs and/or ladders 60 ft in height and be able to push totes on casters weighing 700 to 900 pounds.
