Starting Pay $27.49 hour

PLUS Weekly Perfect Attendance Incentive $.75 hour

PLUS Weekly Payroll

Essential Duties:

Capable of fabricating erecting assigned tasks using various types of metals; stainless steel galvanized black iron. Ranging from angle iron channel iron round flat stock etc. Capable of performing the 3 major types of welding TIG welding ARC welding MIG welding. Must be able to safely operate hand power tools shop equipment to include metal shear, metal brake, drill press, metal lathe, plasma cutter, oxy acetylene torch sanders, etc. Able to weld in multiple positions – flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead. Must be capable of reading blueprints specifications sketches, work orders, plan layout assembly and welding operations. Perform close tolerance to meet layout print specifications using calipers micrometers etc. as needed. Set up and operate welding fabricating equipment to perform jobs, blueprints, sketches or verbal orders. Examine parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications. Perform machining with lathe broaching tools, drilling, tapping and other machining functions. Maintain tools equipment in a safe clean and orderly manner including shop tools welding cutting gauges and welding equipment. Follow company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Specific:

Applicants who have worked for Tyson before may be considered for rehire up to three times if they meet the location’s rehire criteria. Applicants will not be considered prior to 6 months post previous Tyson employment. Applicants that do not show up on time for, tour, pre-employment drug test, post offer health assessment, orientation, or fail to reschedule any part of the pre- employment process unless arrangements are made in advance will not be considered further. Applicants that have a positive or adulterated drug screen or who are unable or refuse to give a sample will not be considered further and must wait a minimum of 6 months to reapply. Your application is only active for the current month in which you applied. You will need to reapply next month to have an active application and be considered for employment.

Welder/Fabricator Maintenance applicants must possess: Industrial Technology degree or a degree in a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience. Ability to weld pipe, read schematics / blueprints, communicate effectively both written and verbally, sound judgement in project implementation.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Basic computer skills.
