This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.
This position requires that you be able to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. This position also requires trouble shooting of various mechanical issues in an industrial setting. This position requires the use of Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. This position will be exposed on a routine basis to warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet/ and or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, and concrete floors. This position also may be exposed to airborne particles (primarily flour dust), and a noise level loud enough to require hearing protection. Must be willing to complete all required training, both hands on and computer based, as required for the job.
Must have a minimum of (1) year of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 1 year)Must have 6 months work exp in the last 12 months, (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months)Applicants from the following counties will be considered; Lee, Chatham, Harnett and Cumberland County in NC.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
