SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for planning and execution of the Maintenance Training Program. This includes coordinating and preparing training literature manuals systems and leading class instruction on the fundamentals of mechanical electrical pneumatic refrigeration and other job related maintenance subjects; maintaining training aids student records and scheduling classes; performing maintenance orientation training for new maintenance team members; interfacing with appropriate vendors concerning training content and delivery; coordinating and leading safety training of the maintenance department; coordinating administering and assessing hands-on training requirements of maintenance personnel; performing other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Manager. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma GED required.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years industrial maintenance experience. Must have completed Level 8 in the Tyson Foods Maintenance Training Program.
Computer Skills: Competent in Microsoft Excel Word; knowledge of Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to successfully interface with all levels of the plant organization.
Certification: Certification in any applicable training topics or techniques is a plus.
Travel: 1-5 trips per year as the need arises.
Special Skills: Proven good safety and attendance record along with strong management skills.
