Working Title:  Field Services Ambassador

 

Essential Function:  Under general supervision of program coordinator or other administrative supervisor, assist in parking operations and provide prompt customer service.  The ideal candidate for this position must possess strong customer service and communication skills.  Enjoys servicing people, polite, responsible, outgoing, and professional.

 

Characteristic Duties

*Greet and welcome visitors, faculty, staff, and students in a friendly and courteous manner.  *Use technology as a resource to provide information and/or service to customers. *Act as a liaison for the department for last minute VIP parking requests. *Provide assistance to customers by giving directions, and providing general information.  *Have a thorough knowledge of major streets, landmarks, and interstates in the area. *Process and receive payment from customers. *Safely and efficiently maintain the flow of traffic for guests and pedestrians. *Monitor and maintain cleanliness of Main Gate parking drive and appropriate signage requirements. *Prohibit unauthorized vehicles from entering restricted areas. *Notify management of any issues that might arise with guest concerns, safety, or anything that would deter from our guests’ experience. *Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events. *Assist supervisor with operational tasks as needed. *Perform related duties based on departmental need.

*Exposed to all types weather conditions. *Shifts may vary based on departmental need.

Required Qualifications

*Strong communications skills, organized, efficient, and detail oriented *Previous customer service experience      *Must have a valid US driver’s license *High School/GED diploma *Basic mathematical aptitude

Training and Experience: Rank/score will be determined by grading the applicant’s related work history and education.

Pay Grade:  92D     Pay Rate: $14.93 per hour starting     Post-Probationary Rate:  $15.67 per hour
