Description:

This position is responsible for the general repair on a tractor and trailer.

Mud flaps basic wiring and light replacement along with wingnuts, studs, tailgate seals, tarps, and hardware repair of body as needed which could require aluminum welding use of plasma cutter and light fabrication replacing dolly’s and braces as needed.

A basic knowledge of trailer air brake and lighting systems.

Location does not consider rehires.

Tasks:

This position will perform repair to the body of trailer minor light repair mud flap and tarp replacement /repair as needed. This position requires a current Driver’s License and must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment. Must have basic mechanical or maintenance skills. Must supply your own tools for minimum maintenance. Must have the ability to lift 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools. Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and regulations. Must have the ability to document information. Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
