This position is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination including leading and directing maintenance technicians. Foster a well-trained and motivated staff. Responsible for supervising a group of mechanics who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities and fostering a well-trained and motivated staff. Manage and oversee the preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment. Schedule maintenance crews and production work orders. Must have the ability and experience to lead, direct, evaluate and train a staff of maintenance technicians, measure, monitor and reduce machine downtime. Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems and direct/assist with repairs; promote a ‘Safety First’ culture amongst staff; and develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for equipment and plant. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Must possess knowledge of policies and procedures along with GMP practices to ensure all maintenance employees understand and follow the company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Must have basic PLC experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook at the intermediate level, experience with SAP software is a plus. Good verbal and written communication skills required.

Requirements

Resume is required: Resume must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills and educational information. High school diploma required bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years' experience or background in industrial maintenance required with strong working knowledge of hydraulics, high/low electrical voltage systems, pneumatics and fabrication skills. Preference given to candidates with prior maintenance experience in beef or pork processing.
